One Transistor Amplifier Circuit using BC547 Transistor

Building an amplifier is not a simple process, but with proper knowledge and experiences you can build it. This given amplifier circuit uses only a single PNP transistor as the amplifying stage. This single transistor can easily amplifies the input audio signal from the mobile phone or any other audio sources.

TransistorBC5471
Capacitor47uF/16V1
Resistor2K~2.2K1
Speaker8ohms 1 watt1

Circuit connections

The connections of this circuit is easy to understands. The main part of this amplifier is the BC547 general purpose NPN transistor. The Emitter pin of the transistor is connected to the ground connection and collector pin to the speaker negative connection.

The collector pin is also connected with a 2K quarter watt resistor to the base pin of the transistor. The audio input and the transistor base pin is separated using an electrolytic capacitor. The capacitor value of 47uF.

The sparker positive supply is connected to the 9V dc supply. You can use mini 9V battery to power the circuit. If you want continuous operation without changing battery pack try with an adapter rating of 9V DC.
