Connecting 12V LED strip light to the power supply by proper polarity matching of LED strip with the battery connection. The marking on the LED strips shows the positive (+) and negative as (-). Solder the 12V Dc supply wires to the corresponding LED terminals.

Steps to Connect LED Strip Lights to 12V Power Supply
Time needed: 1 minute
- Verify Voltage supply voltage
First check the supply voltage and working voltage of the LED strip. The 12V LED strip need 12V DC power supply.
- Identify Polarity in LED Strip
Locate the (+) and (-) markings on the LED strip. Usually the red wire for positive and black or white for negative supply.
- Prepare the Connection
Method A: Plug in Adapter
If the power supply has DC barrel jack, You can directly connected to the Female barrel jack, so the polarity never changes after connection of several times.
Method B: Screw Terminal Supply
If the power supply is SMPS then it has screw terminal, so you can use a screwdriver to connect the positive wire to the V+ terminal and the negative wire to the V- terminal on the power supply.
Additional Information’s
Also can connect the Clip a quick connector onto the LED strip and connect. Makes sure that the power supply’s wattage is exceeds the total wattage of the LED strip by 10-20%. If running more than 5 meters (16.4 ft) of LED strip, consider powering the strip from the center to avoid voltage drop like dimming on the LED at the end.
