12 Volt 4558 IC Subwoofer Circuit Diagram and Features

12v 4558 ic subwoofer low pass filter circuit diagram

Most of the people like to hear music along with the low frequency sound. The low-frequency sound means the subwoofer sounds come along with the main audio music, which gives the perfect ambiance to the audience. The low frequency voice can be realized by their body or vibration to the furniture or table.

So, in this electronic project, I am sharing the subwoofer low pass filter circuit diagram. This circuit is working based on the popular op amp IC 4558. The circuit is working along with the power amplifier with the input voltage of 12 volt dual supply.

The circuit diagram contain a single op amp IC, it can able to filter the high frequency sounds from the audio input and gives the low frequency audio sounds about 150Hz to 250Hz. This circuit is perfect for a small car audio amplifier or mini home theater subwoofer amplifier.

To build this circuit diagram you need some little skill and knowledge about the electronic circuit and IC pin configuration. The datasheet of 4558 IC is attaching along with the blog post, that may helpful for you. Pin number 2 is audio output pin and, pin 6 is audio input pin. Note: Don’t connect this circuit to 12v battery connection, this circuit is not works in single power supply. this circuit needs 12-0-12v DC dual power supply.

4558 IC Pin configuration, Features and Equivalent

The 4558 IC is a op amp IC, most commonly using for the audio amplifier and other audio purposes. The single chip contain dual op amps inside. The IC has is valued for its low noise, high gain bandwidth and availability.
