Overview of CD4047 IC
The CD4047IC is a digital integrated circuit which is used in a stable or mono multivibrator, which are a type of oscillator Circuit. This circuit is most commonly using in PWM inverter or signal generator devices.
Types of oscillator mode in CD4047 ic
In the astable mode, the CD4047 is able to generate a continuous square wave signal which acts as a oscillator. The frequency of the output signal can be depending on the resistor and capacitor connecting to the IC externally.
in the mono stable mode, the CD 4047 ic can generate a signal with a pulse. This pulse can be generated at a specific specific duration in response to the trigger pulse. This is useful for the timing application.
Key features of CD4047 IC
- The icy typically works around the DC voltage of 3 V to 15 V
- Low power consumption
- Adjustable frequency or pulse with by changing the external capacitor and Resistor value
